TRUCK FESTIVAL: Who we recommend

  1. Airways

The Peterborough boys will be bringing their intense, raw brand of indie rock to the This Feeling stage on Friday afternoon. After playing support slots for the likes of Razorlight and Nothing But Thieves, they have definitely proved themselves to be one of the most exciting live bands on the lineup.

  1. Suncharmer

Opening the This Feeling stage on the Sunday, Suncharmer are for sure a band worth getting up early for. They may only have 2 singles released so far, but both of them are outrageously stylish rock tracks with guitar work that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Guns and Roses track. Their surf rock influences make them a perfect band for a (hopefully) sunny, summer afternoon.

  1. The Clause

Having just released their stunning new single, ‘In My Element’,The Clause’s set, opening The Nest on Sunday is a rare chance to see them in an intimate stage, before their inevitable rise through the stages in the next few years. Their big, singalong tracks are sure to get the crowd bouncing.

  1. Pip Blom

With a newly released debut album under her belt, the Amsterdam-based artist will be playing a mid afternoon set on the Market Stage. Pip Blom is one of my most anticipated sets of the entire festival. Having seen her supporting The Breeders, I am very excited to see her again and hear some of the new tracks live. Her guitar driven, indie pop is sure to please the Market Stage crowd.

  1. Indoor Pets

The penultimate act on Thursday night, Indoor Pets are without a doubt the most energetic and fun bands playing in the UK at the moment. Their live performances are incredible, dancing and moving all over the stage. It’s exhausting just watching them. Having released an unreal debut album earlier in the year, they are definitely a band to see. If you have a ticket for the Thursday, definitely make sure you see them. Im going to make a bold claim and say they are my favourite live band. Ever.
