Circa Waves ft. Alfie Templeman – ‘Lemonade’

After only releasing their fourth studio album ‘Sad Happy’, their highest-charting release to date back in March, Circa Waves are back with their brand new track ‘Lemonade’, recruiting Seventeen-year-old rising star Alfie Templeman to feature alongside them for this. Known for their incredibly dazzling summer anthems, ‘Lemonade’ proves that Circa Waves are ingenious when it comes to creating the perfect festival tune.

Imagine, if you will, the world falling apart around you” explains Kieran Shudall, the band’s lead singer. “There is anxiety, fear and you’ve not been able to hug your mum in months. But wait! What’s that? A beautiful song starts playing. Elegant vocals chime in from Alfie Templeman. The guitar fills you with joy, the melody eases your pain and all of a sudden you’re drinking rum and lemonade. Your mind feels clear and everything’s ok for 3 minutes and 20 seconds.

Templeman adds “Lemonade to me is such a heartfelt track, about everyone coming together and loving each other in times where everything seems so difficult. I definitely related to this in lockdown which is why I was so excited to hop on the track!”.

‘Lemonade’ is the summer anthem we all needed right now, and we can only hope that next year brings us the opportunity to enjoy this tune at a festival next year.
