London band The Valla release indie-pop track ‘Ice Cream’

The Valla are a four piece alt-rock group from London, self described as “not a boy band. But sort of are.”

Their latest track, ‘Ice Cream’ really brings the funk, the song is driven by an insanely punchy bassline that will get you moving. The lyrics, while being extremely catchy, are also very relatable, it is about how adulthood isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and that we should all be “living like kids”.

The pre-chorus however, is definitely my favourite part of the song, the bass and guitar combine so well to create an infectious pop-like riff that I’m sure would get any crowd engaged with their music. The production is crisp and the drumtastic beats and vocals come together to create a perfect sounding summer day tune.

I haven’t had the chance to see The Valla live, but after hearing ‘Ice Cream’ I definitely want to.
