Make Friends – ‘Hesitate’

Hot off the heels of releasing a BBC Maida Vale live session and standout single ‘Knowing Makes it Worse’, Make Friends are back with their addictive track ‘Hesitate’.

The rising four-piece band continue to demonstrate their versatility through their sound and once again prove why they are on everyone’s watch list with ‘Hesitate’. The latest summer jam is twisted with pounding drums and longing vocals; that is emphasised through a hint of pulsating sonic beats, fitting perfectly with the rest of the production.

The fresh track which was mixed by Bruno Ellingham (Massive Attack), radiates warmth throughout as the band explores dealing with the responsibility of having a friend that is suffering from addiction. Guitarist David Thomas extended the story behind the track and said: “The song portrays an internal struggle where you want to be there for them, but at the same time you don’t know the right words to say or actions to take, and you’re worried you might fail them.

With a series of singles that have delved into infectious and refined indie-pop; the band are not messing around as they forge through 2020.
