Phoebe Green – ‘Reinvent’

Phoebe Green treats us o new single ‘Reinvent’

Phoebe Green is a powerful voice in the indie music scene and self-released her debut album ‘ 2:00 AM’ at the young age of seventeen. If you haven’t already listened to her sublime debut album, then you’re looking at your new favourite.

Last year she released two singles, ‘Dreaming Of’ and ‘Easy Peeler.’ Both are incredible, with Green sharing her experiences with love, life, and relationships. The latter single showed a side to Phoebe we were yet to see; she brought a 70s aura to the track and showed she had developed from the sixteen-year-old who penned ‘Sagittarius.’

On this track, she had the super talented Juliette Jackson (from The Big Moon) on hand to help her pen the thoughtful and elusive single that is ‘Reinvent’. The song is a tale of meeting new people in drunken states and seeking validation from flirty strangers. We’ve all been there; talking to random people in smoking areas who pay you the slightest amount of attention and then never seeing them again.

Not only was Phoebe Green endorsed by the queen of the pop charts Billie Eilish, but she’s also supported the likes of Mac DeMarco and had her new singles played on Radio 1. There’s no doubt you’ll be a fan of this soft indie-pop with a tangerine dream Scorpio behind the voice, especially since she’s shown the skills she has to become a chameleon in the music industry. Whatever it is you’re feeling, she brings it to the table. With an intro akin to the likes of Radiohead and then somehow managing to showcase a twang of doll-obsessed pop singer Melanie Martinez, ‘Reinvent’ has something for everyone.
