The Cribs – ‘Running Into You’

After a three-year hiatus, Yorkshire’s finest trio, The Cribs are back.

Having teased a return in early June, with a lockdown-style performance of classic hit ‘Be Safe’, fans had been speculating non-stop since.

Last night the band announced their 8th studio album, ‘Night Network’, accompanied by the first single off the record, ‘Running Into You’.

The single was accompanied by a fitting video starring actor Sam Riley as a news reporter, celebrating the band’s highly-anticipated return in the media. ‘Running Into You’ offers the first taste of new material from the trio since 2017’s ‘Rock Star Shit’, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Brutally honest lyrics and unstoppable riffs, combined with a chorus which showcases Gary’s vocals to be as on-point as ever, ‘Running Into You’ offers everything you’d want from a new Cribs record.Their renowned punk-style guitar sound sounds sharper than ever, leaving anticipation for the new album at an all time high.

‘Running Into You’ is a classic Cribs-style tune, it wouldn’t sound out of place on ‘For All My Sisters’, and it’s undeniably the distinctive work of The Cribs. If the single is anything to go by, November’s new album looks to be one of the late highlights of this year.
