‘Say Something’ is The Rosadocs’ first 2020 release, and it’s proven to be an incredible start to even more huge indie rock tunes from the Sheffield four-piece.
With the release of their eagerly anticipated ‘Two Wrongs Make A Riot’ EP coming up, the band continues to rise in the UK indie scene and this new track is a true reflection of just how talented these lads are.
The first few seconds alone boast a gorgeous guitar tone and a lively drum beat, setting the bar pretty high for the rest of the track quite early on. With my interest already piqued just moments in, I quickly fell in love with the track as the group threw an impressive lead guitar track into the mix to compliment the other guitars perfectly and hold everything together to create a great sounding concoction.
A slightly more stripped back set of verses, complete with honest lyrics and lush melodies contrast the beautiful guitar-heavy choruses. This contrast demonstrates the group’s ability to blend slightly different sounds to create a truly impressive song and just goes to show that The Rosadocs’ have so many more tricks up their sleeves they hadn’t used in previous releases.
In short, ‘Say Something’ is an entirely enjoyable indie-rock anthem and a perfect first 2020 release for the group thanks to its fun high energy. In the build-up to the release, the Sheffield based four-piece received praise across BBC Introducing platforms in Derby, Leicester, and Nottingham. Upon release, it was clear to see why – The Rosadocs absolutely smashed it out of the park with this track.
