TRACK OF THE WEEK: Crystal Tides – ‘Headcase’

Crystal Tides make their return as they release indie-pop banger ‘Headcase’

South-coast band Crystal Tides are back with their brand new single ‘Headcase’ which emits indie-pop goodness – the four-piece continues their journey breaking through the music industry one track at a time.

Following up from their latest tune ‘Courtney Love’, ‘Headcase’ shows the band at their most vulnerable , with their hearts on their sleeve they murmur about emotional connections with someone who is stuck in their head, despite being led on “I wanted something that could save me /You made me feel like it was you / I never knew that you would play me / You only called me when you wanted too.” Passionate and expressive, Crystal Tides wrap melodic tones around frontman Billy’s vocals that are smooth and polished alongside their classic sound that everyone has come to love.

Speaking on the track they said ”Headcase is about being led on by a person who is obviously using you which causes you to go a little bit insane. The emotions you deal with alongside the mental battle inside your own head because you can’t figure out why you can’t stop thinking about that one person despite the fact they’re just playing with your head. You know it’s wrong but you think somehow you can make it work.
